Chris Stenhouse
Sales Representative
Chris Stenhouse is a Sales Representative at Hillhouse Group, supporting customers across the East of Scotland with a wide range of aggregate, ready-mix concrete and concrete product requirements.Â
Chris has been in his current role since February 2025, following almost 19 years as Ready-Mix Distribution Coordinator. His career in the construction materials sector began with Ennstone Thistle, now part of Breedon, where he worked as a lab technician for around 18 months before joining the business in July 2006.
During his time in distribution, Chris supported the delivery of ready-mix concrete to a wide variety of projects, including major renewable energy and maritime infrastructure schemes. He also played an important role during a period of significant ready-mix expansion, helping coordinate supply and support customer requirements as the business continued to grow.

In his sales role, Chris works closely with both new and existing customers, visiting active sites, discussing project needs and ensuring quotations are progressed promptly. His experience in distribution gives him a strong understanding of how projects operate on the ground, allowing him to offer practical support and help identify opportunities across the Group’s range of materials and services.
A key part of Chris’s role is maintaining close contact with customers, ensuring they receive clear communication and reliable service from enquiry through to delivery. Having supported many customers over the phone for years, he particularly enjoys getting out on site, meeting clients face to face and building stronger working relationships.
Chris has also seen first-hand the opportunities created through the transition from Skene to Hillhouse Group. The move has brought new ways of working, fresh challenges and further opportunities to learn and develop, including his own progression into a customer-facing sales role.
Reflecting on his role, Chris comments:
After years of working closely with customers over the phone, it’s been great to get out on site, meet people face to face and understand their projects in more detail. The role gives me the chance to support customers more directly and help make sure they get the right materials and service for the job.
