Hillhouse Quarry Group Ltd is a family-owned business operating throughout Scotland.  The company is a major supplier of aggregates, asphalt, ready-mix concrete, and concrete products we also operate road surfacingand civil engineering divisions.

Due to the continued growth of the company, Hillhouse has an opportunity for a Quarry Materials Technicianto work within our Technical Operations covering the West Scotland Area.

As a technician you will sample and test Quarry produced materials, ensuring the quality and compliance of all products to the relevant standards, through accurate and consistent sampling, testing and reporting.

Key Responsibilities:

• Coordinate and undertake daily sampling and testing of asphalt, ready-mix concrete, concrete products and aggregates.
• Ensure that all testing procedures are in accordance with the relevant standards.
• Calibrate and maintain all laboratory equipment to ensure accurate and reliable testing.
• Undertake duties in a professional manner
• Liaise and support with the technical departments management to resolve any technical issues.
• Maintain a safe working environment and ensure full compliance with health, safety and environmentalregulations.

Personal Experience:

• Proficient IT skills.
• Strong organisational skills.
• Ability to communicate effectively both verbally and written with customers and various levels of in-house management.
• Current driving license.
