Following months of construction, commissioning and preparation, Edinburgh Asphalt has begun producing and supplying materials to customers across the region.
The opening represents a significant investment in our long-term capabilities, strengthening our ability to support customers across Edinburgh, the Lothians, Scottish Borders and the wider Central Belt.
Located within our established Soutra Mains Quarry in Midlothian, Edinburgh Asphalt complements existing aggregate, ready-mix concrete and concrete block operations, bringing together a comprehensive range of construction materials at one strategically located site.
Alongside our established asphalt facilities in Troon, Glasgow and Alloa, the new plant extends our production network and supports greater geographical coverage for customers working across Scotland.
For existing customers, this means access to Hillhouse asphalt supply across a wider area, supported by familiar commercial relationships and established Group expertise. For new customers, Edinburgh Asphalt provides an additional local supply option, backed by experienced people, modern production facilities and a commitment to quality and service.
The successful opening of Edinburgh Asphalt reflects the combined efforts of teams across Hillhouse Group and the contribution of our specialist project partners.
