Knowledge of concrete products is a plus, but full product training will be provided

Hillhouse Group is a family-owned business operating throughout Scotland. The company is a major supplier of aggregates, asphalt, ready-mix concrete, concrete products, road surfacing and civil engineering services to the construction industry and civil engineering sectors.

We are seeking a proactive and customer-focused External Sales Representative to join our Commercial team. This is an exciting, permanent, and full-time opportunity for someone with experience in construction or building materials sales.

Your primary focus will be on concrete block sales across Central Scotland, building strong customer relationships and delivering exceptional service. You’ll be a vital part of a supportive team and benefit from clear opportunities for career development within a continuously growing business.

Responsibilities:

• Develop and maintain strong relationships with new and existing customers across Central Scotland

• Promote and sell our range of concrete products, with a focus on concrete blocks

• Identify new business opportunities and follow up on leads

• Work closely with internal teams including production, logistics, and customer service to ensure smooth order fulfilment

• Provide accurate and timely quotations and product information

• Monitor market trends and competitor activity

• Maintain accurate records of customer interactions and sales activity

Skills & Experience:

• Proven experience in external sales, ideally within the construction or building materials sector

• Knowledge of concrete products is a plus, but full product training will be provided

• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills

• Proactive and comfortable working independently or collaboratively

• Strong organisational skills and attention to detail

• Proficient in Microsoft Excel and other Microsoft Office applications

• Full UK driving licence required
