Hillhouse Group is a family-owned business operating throughout Scotland. The company is a major supplier of aggregates, asphalt, readymix concrete, concrete products, road surfacing and civil engineering services to the construction industry and civil engineering sectors.

We are looking to hire an experienced quarry maintenance/installation electrician to work from our Quarry near Troon, Ayrshire.

Responsibilities

Carrying out routine and planned maintenance, inspection and testing.
Carrying out repairs as required.
Some installation work as required.
React to and identify plant problems in a breakdown situation and ensure the plant is put back into production in a safe and timely manner.

 

Skills and Experience

Preferably qualified to min NVQ 3 or City & Guilds equivalent.
Must be familiar with BS7671:2018.
Working at height using MEWP (genie boom).
Working in confined spaces.
Familiarity with permits to work and risk assessments.
Must have a good attitude to health, safety and environmental issues.
Should be able to work on own initiative and as part of a small team.
Full driving licence.

Job Type: Permanent/Full time

Salary: £17.92 per hour

Hours of work:

Dayshift: Monday to Thursday 6.45am to 5pm / Friday 6.45am to 4pm
Every second weekend: Saturday 6.45am to 12noon / Sunday 7.30am to 3pm

Some flexibility will be required to cover for breakdowns, holidays, etc.
