Ellie Cambridge is an Internal Sales Coordinator at Hillhouse Group, transforming conversations on site to formal quotations, liaising with clients about proposals and passing confirmed orders to our distribution team.
Ellie joined Hillhouse in July 2025 as an Apprentice Sales and Distribution Coordinator, before progressing into her current role in February 2026. Her development reflects the opportunities available within the business for young people who are keen to learn, take on responsibility and build a career within the construction materials industry.
Before joining Hillhouse, Ellie worked for three years as a lifeguard and recreational assistant at KA Leisure. That experience helped her develop confidence, communication skills and a strong sense of responsibility, all of which have transferred well into a busy, customer-focused sales environment.
In her role, Ellie is often involved in supporting customers with queries, helping coordinate information between the sales, distribution and operational teams, and ensuring that communication remains clear and efficient. She brings an organised, positive and practical approach to her work, and has quickly become a valued part of the team.
Ellie’s route into the business also highlights that there is no single pathway into Hillhouse. With the right attitude and willingness to learn, young people can gain experience, develop new skills and progress into meaningful roles across the Group. Outside of work, Ellie is a member of Kilmaurs Young Farmers Club, plays for Troon Ladies Hockey Club and coaches the junior side. She also spends much of her spare time on the farm, reflecting the same hands-on attitude and commitment she brings to her role at Hillhouse.

Joining Hillhouse has given me the chance to learn something completely new and build my confidence in a busy sales environment. There’s a lot to take in, but the support from the team has been brilliant, and I’m excited to keep developing my role.
