Craig Kirkland is Commercial Director at Hillhouse Group, with responsibility for commercial strategy, customer relationships and driving sustainable growth across the business.
Craig joined Hillhouse in 2025 as Sales Director and quickly established a strong presence within the organisation. His broad industry experience, commercial insight and collaborative leadership style have played an important role in strengthening the Group’s market position and long-term strategy.
He brings nearly 30 years’ experience in the construction materials sector, including 27 years with Tarmac in a variety of operational, commercial and senior leadership roles. His expertise spans crushed rock, sand and gravel, asphalt, ready-mixed concrete and aggregate recycling, alongside involvement in major Scottish infrastructure projects such as the M74 extension, M80 upgrade and the Queensferry Crossing.
Craig previously served as General Manager for Tarmac’s Central Belt materials business, where he held responsibility for operational and commercial performance across multiple sites and offices. He later led the transformation of Dunbar Cement Works as Plant Manager, delivering substantial operational, financial and safety improvements.
Throughout his career, Craig has placed strong emphasis on building capable teams, developing talent and fostering a culture of accountability and collaboration. He believes commercial success is built on long-term relationships, operational excellence and a clear focus on people.
