We are currently seeking a reliable and hardworking Block Forklift Operator / General Yard Operative to join our busy block making plant. This is a hands-on role suited to someone who enjoys working outdoors as part of a team in a fast-paced production environment.
Key Responsibilities:
• Operating a forklift to move, stack, and load concrete blocks safely
• Assisting with general yard duties and maintaining a tidy work area
• Loading and unloading vehicles
• Supporting production operations as required
• Carrying out basic equipment checks and reporting faults
• Following all health and safety procedures on site
Requirement:
• Must have own transport to travel to and from workplace
Desirable (but not essential):
• Valid forklift licence (counterbalance or relevant plant forklift)
• Previous experience in a block plant, concrete products, or similar environment preferred
• Good awareness of health and safety
• Physically fit and able to work outdoors in all weather conditions
• Reliable, punctual, and able to work as part of a team
• Experience handling concrete blocks or heavy materials
• Yard or manufacturing experience
